dear & yonder - daring stories of ladies united by the sea... i'm so excited about this film and can't wait till it's out in oz. There's no date for the Australian opening on this poster, but once i find out i will definitely let you all know. oh, and what a cute poster it is!

i hope you have a lovely weekend. i'm headed back to the motherland for some nurturing - hopefully devouring my mum's famous golden syrup dumplings and staring into my little nephew Riley's big blue eyes for hours on end xx

i went to the most beautiful shop yesterday, it's called 'argentina' and it's on pakington st (the melbourne end). it was so lovely and inspiring, it gave me little goosebumps all over. so does this photo i found on birdy & me. it makes me want to style a fashion shoot with cricket just for fun...

happy weekend

i'm off to spend my weekend planting 20 foxtails in our poor neglected garden - trying to regain a bit off greenery in there... or at least create less space for the weeds to grow! it's supposed to be a sunny one, so enjoy xx

goodbye abbey, hello hot chocolate

A good friend is leaving today, going away for the winter. She’s headed for a place where the snow is falling and the hot chocolates are on tap. It gets me a little bit excited about the snow season, and I’m itching to get up there. But I’ll miss my friend and I hope she has a lovely white winter. see you up the mountain soon abbey!

In Annie's Pocket - a beautiful name for a great project by a lovely bunch of people, and in memory of an absolute star. I'm looking forward to visiting the store when I'm in Byron in a few weeks! winter chills

I love this artwork titled 'drops' by Serena Mitnik-Miller, such lovely shapes and the most beautiful colour palette! And there are lots more of these lovely wave photos on her blog 'squishy'. Makes me want to pack the mini mal and go somewhere warm. Or maybe it would be just as nice to surf some fun waves at home tomorrow in the chilly waters... i think it's time for the 4/3! happy mothers day mum xx

making things

I love everything about this artwork by Lisa Romero - the colours are lovely, the style is just a little bit crazy, and best of all - it makes me want to make things. I saw it while i was wandering around my love for you is a stampede of wild horses. I'm off now to spend a rainy weekend making little fishes out of old fabrics, making delicious home-style pizzas, making a cosy house-warming fire, and hopefully making someone i love laugh... have a lovely weekend xx

thinking of red and blue

Today i'm being inspired by the nautical goodness of red and blue. I love the waves in the painting in the centre, so free and flowing, in comparison to the geometric waves on the right. And the drippy clouds in these cushions are beautiful - by swedish grafic designer and illustrator Elsa Wikander. If you stop by designista, check out her whale print - so cute!

some new artwork...

this is a little piece i recently made for my walls at home. it's watercolour & ink and is a little fishy scene that i've been thinking about for some time now. it feels nice to finally get it down on paper.
