i went wandering around today on beci orpin's website. the little folkie parade on the home page is sooooo cute. all of her little creatures look so friendly (in a dark and mysterious kind of way!) these yardages she designed for her label 'princess tina' are pretty cute too!

my happy place

I wanted to share my happy place with you, a magical mysterious forest near my house. it looks so beautiful at this time of year... i imagine there's all manner of creatures living in amongst the willows and little white flowers...

what spring?

home sweet home, for a relaxing spring weekend (a lovely 14 degrees tomorrow!) ok, maybe not a typical spring weekend, but a good one to stay indoors and watch the footy... go cats!!

love these old beauties... don't they just make you want to get out your nautical stripes and say things like 'starboard' and 'land ahoy'... i'm getting some prints like this printed for the walls of our house.

let's all take the afternoon off and go to Paris! i'm sick of this windy city...

fabric from the heart

these beautiful fabrics are by umbrella prints, i really need to order some of their loveliness for my own creations. and the gorgeous little pin cushion is by birds in chandeliers (using umbrella prints fabric). i think i will dust off the sewing machine tonight and get started on my next (long awaited) project xx

as i've been feeling a little under the weather this weekend, i've been spending a lot of time around the house (mainly lounging around the house). so i've been thinking a lot about what i would like to add to our home, and here's a little snapshot. have a lovely weekend xx
