my basil is dying, the back lawn has turned to dust, and snails are taking over... time to jump into the gumboots for a weekend of digging, weeding, planting and pruning. happy gardening xx

i saw this brand in the latest issue of frankie, it's called lu flux, and it's pretty amazing! love these patchwork outfits!

Summer Chicken Salad

Summer Chicken Salad
serves: 4
time: 20 minutes

ingredients:
2 1/2 cups shredded cooked chicken
1 large stalk celery, cut into 1/4” dice
1/2 green apple, peeled and cut into 1/4” dice
1/3 cup toasted walnuts, roughly chopped
2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
2 spring onions, thinly sliced
2 handfuls rocket, roughly chopped
1/2 cup Soya mayonnaise
2 teaspoons fresh lime juice
coarse salt to taste (about 1/2 teaspoon)
freshly ground black pepper to taste (about 1/2 teaspoon)

preparation:
Just stir everything together!

detox days

i've decided it's to time to flush out the winter baddies and put some good stuff in! i'm on day 3 of my 'goodbye winter, hello summer' detox, and it's going swimmingly. i stocked up on fresh local fruit & vegies at the market on saturday, and dusted off the juicer! i'm feeling great already, fresh, energetic, and with a clear mind. i highly recommend it to anyone who's stuck in a winter haze. xx
